Wonder

This book 'Wonder', the main character August (Auggie) Pullman is a ten-year-old boy with severe facial abnormalitiesKids disgust when they saw him while teenagers make fun of him and call him a freak. In public, he’s often greeted by curious stares or even open revulsion. Auggie was homeschool through grade four, but for middle school, his parent decides to send him to a private school, Beecher Prep, in New York City. For the first time in his life, and he has to navigate new rules, learn to interact with teachers, and figure out how to make new friends.Auggie's just an ordinary kid, with an extraordinary face. he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid-but his new classmates can't get past Auggie's extraordinary face.Reading about Auggie’s 27 surgeries, rejoicing at his vibrant inner life, hurting for him when he felt lonely or misunderstood, and seeing his life from various different perspectives, it’s impossible not to be moved by his story.

In this story, my favorite character will be Auggie‘s sister, Via. When Jack painful betrayer has Auggie wanted to never return to school, his sister desire to turn him around where she says "Now unless you want to be treated like a baby the rest of your life, or like a kid with a special need, you just have to suck it up and go." Via shows a caring and loving sister in a way.her protective of Auggie, but not as protective as their parents which is good because her words bust him out of his self-pity, and that's what he needs to continue to grow.

This book taught me so many important lessons. Most importantly, accepting people for who they are, instead of how they look, can make life so much better for everyone. Put yourself in their shoes. Imagine how it would feel to be them. Would you like everybody to stare and point or be friendly and kind?A little kindness goes a long way. When you are kind to someone, you can make that person’s day.Another lesson this book has taught me is to be brave. If someone brings you down, do something about it.  Tell them to stop.  Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself.

This is a book that makes me laugh, makes me cry, and gives me endless amounts of hope. This book is a little reminder to always choose kindness also not to judge people and to stand up for yourself.
